Fluid sampling:
Surface sampling Our high end sampling methods such as IsoSplit™ carry over testing on test separators for accurate CGR measurements, MTU (Multi Test Unit), Method for on-line emulsion, rheology and wax testing and our line of Non-reactive Inconel/Titanium PVT sample bottles.
Well-head sampling IsoSplit™ wellhead multi phase sampling and metering for Gas/volatile oil reservoirs On-line wellhead three stage process simulations including PVT sampling. Down-hole sampling Our industry leading Bottom Hole Sampling System - PCS, rated to 20K and tested to 200 °C manufactured from non corrosive material, to provide accurate samples for compositional, dew point and bubble point data for a reservoir. The system is also designed to be used in tubing conveyed bottom hole sampling operations in gas and oil reservoirs. Bottle Management Our objective is to provide our customers with a wide range of oil and gas cylinders to suit specific needs. The customer can purchase or rent the bottles as preferred. FAC (Fluid Analysis Centre) The Expro Fluid Analysis Centre is an industry leading laboratory facility, fully equipped to provide the complete range of PVT, compositional characterisation, production chemistry, solids deposition and enhanced hydrocarbon recovery analyses. Non-hydrocarbon Analysis The composition of non-hydrocarbons and trace elements in hydrocarbon reservoir fluids influence the facility design and production and can have a vital impact on combustion, corrosion, scaling, toxicity, environmental issues etc. GOLD System™ The Global Onsite Laboratory Data Systems available from Expro provide full specification PVT and Compositional Analysis Facilities close to the client – removing the increasingly onerous requirement to ship samples across national boundaries. These operate as satellite laboratories to the Expro Fluid Analysis Centre, with all instrument calibration and certification carried out to the same rigorous standards, and all data checked and verified by senior FAC personnel. TurboPVT™ Obtain PVT onsite well fluid analysis service results in as little as 8 hours. TurboPVT™ is an on-site reservoir fluid analysis service that delivers speedy and accurate PVT data based on a combination of measurements and tuned EOS (Equation of State) predictions. Water management System: Water management A prime objective when testing a subsurface water zone is to establish the chemical and physical properties of the formation water and its associated gas. A complete package can be provided to include water sampling, analyses and methods for obtaining representative chemical and physical properties of water during wireline formation testing (mud doping) and well testing (ion tracking and tracers).
The perfect solution for a complete analysis of formation water that provide all required data for input to simulation program such as MultiScale and SourSim. MultiScale™ MultiScale is a computer programme for the prediction of mineral deposition. Fluid Flow Metering: Wet Gas Metering SmartVent™ Provides continuous measurement of the gas, condensate and water flow rate for reservoir management and allocation purposes. The development cost of high Gas Volume Fraction (GVF) gas/condensate fields can be reduced significantly if test separators and related infrastructure are replaced by SmartVent™ wet gas venturi based meters in each of the flow lines. Besides the significant cost savings, the availability of continuous readings of each well’s production rates allows for enhanced reservoir management and production optimisation.
SmartVent wet gas meters can be supplied in a large range of sizes, materials and pressure ratings. Each system is specialically designed. MultiTrace™ Accurate stand-alone flow calibration technique for all three phases (gas, condensate/oil and water). The technique is used to calibrate MultiPhase Meters and Wet Gas Meters in-situ. The technique have been evaluated by DNV to be better than 4% relative uncertainty.
The MultiTrace™ technique is non-intrusive and accurately measures the production of water, gas and oil/condensate at flowing conditions with the use of chemical tracers. The only requirement is to have a suitable injection and sampling nozzle on the flow line. In principle, the technique is capable of measuring water, gas, condensate or crude oil over the complete range of multiphase flows. Wells with liquid fractions up to 100% have been tested successfully. IsoSplit™ The only representative multiphase sampling technique available today. For testing of gas/condensate wells Petrotech recommends isokinetic IsoSplitTM split stream sampling both upstream the choke and at the test separator gas outlet. IsoSplit WH Sampling is performed downstream a specialised wellstream mixer for accurate CGR measurement and collection of gas and condensate PVT samples independently of the test separator performance. IsoSplit Separator Sampling is performed at the test separator gas outlet for correction of the gas and condensate flow rate measurement affected by condensate carry-over. However, it should be noted that in many cases, in particular for testing of lean gas condensates at high flowrates, the uncertainty in the test separator primary flow measurement can be affected and dominated by other factors than condensate carry-over. Flow Computer The only PC based Flow Computer with wet gas correlations proven and published from R&D projects performed under live conditions (pressure/ temperature) and with natural gas and condensate. Recognised as Petrotech/ de Leeuw correlations with the possibilities to include flash simulations by MultiPVT and incorporate MultiTrace tracer calibration data.
